This is kind of a random video from last April or something, when Christian was going through a Muppets phase. Eric and I loved The Muppet Movie growing up, and The Muppet Show, but now I realize how disrespectful the Muppets are to each other, so I disapprove. Of course, I only realized that after Christian had seen it, and it only takes him about 3 viewings to memorize big chunks of dialogue or songs. That was the case here.
He was running around after his bath one evening, and I walked upstairs to find him sitting on the bed in his birthday suit, with a ukulele, singing the "Rainbow Connection." And miraculously, I got him to do a repeat performance for the camera. It cracked me up.

Oh my gosh Melanie. That is precious. My son Joseph loved Kermit when he was little. When he was in sixth grade he sang and played the guitar in full Kermit costume that same song for Brown Schools graduation. The teachers cried. He then performed again as a senior at Galena High for their Mr."G" contest, in full sixth grade costume I might add, and won. Whenever I hear that song it brings me to tears. Christian is such a special little boy and you're so lucky to have caught it on tape. Memories like that are priceless!!

That is the cutest video ever!!!
What a smart little guy. He is darling.
That is too precious. And impressive that he could learn all the words like that.
He obviously has inherited his Mommy's ear & talent for music...not to mention her smarts! You always memorized everything so easily when we were kids. Too cute.
Besides the fact that Christian is adorable and amazing, I was impressed by your mad video taping skills. That's gotta be tough to get the ukele while not exposing vital parts of the "birthday suit." Way to go!
That is so dang cute! What a little smarty pants!
How cute was that?!? That is amazing that he can memorize all of that at his age. He is totally going to be quoting movies and things all over the place, just like Eric. Oh, and we just watched the Muppet Movie with our kids too...
